We originally posted the Tomaszewski Family Tree as a single webpage that grew to contain over 200 printed pages. At that point we decided to restructure the page because it was getting out of hand and taking much too long to download. Part of the results from that effort follow. Should you find errors or omissions, you can still refer to the original webpage.
Please Note: Throughout this genealogy a left handed prefix (1234_____) is a birth; a right handed prefix (_____1234) is a reference from a later relationship event (typically marriage). All references are bolded, and equal numbered left and right handed references (or just plain references - 1234 ) are always the same person. Use your browser's Find button to follow a lineage using the reference numbers (or follow the links on some individuals for pictures, or lines). Scroll to the bottom of the page for links to other family tree branches.

Notes: Wheeler's History of the Town of Stonington has him on p 549:
"REV. JEDEDIAH RANDALL, b. March 20, 1758. m. at Stonington, Patty York, Aug. 1, 1779. He was among the early settlers of Chenango county, Norwich, N.Y."If it is the same Jedediah Randall of the grantor/grantee deeds in Norwich in 1833 (Jedediah granted land to Jabez Swan in 1833 & Jabez granted it back to Jedediah in 1838), then maybe Patty died and Jedediah remarried a Martha, who shows up as his wife on the grantor deed.
A Joshua Swan buried in Sherburne NY:
DEATH: Cemetery Church-Town Records Vol. II Chenango Co., Sherburne Township - Quarter Burying Ground has:
SWAN, JOSEPH/JOSHUA d. Feb 26, 1847, ae 84,, ESTHER, his wife, d. Mar. 8, 1864, ae 93
, JOSHUA S., d. Aug. 12, 1870, ae 45 yr 9 mo
, LOUISA, his wife, d. Sept 6, 1851, ae 20
, JOSHUA, d. Jan 16, 1884, ae 91
, NANCY, his wife, d. June 4, 1887, ae 82
, HARRIET, d. June 8, 1847, ae 19 yr. 7 mo.
Here's another little clue about a relation between the Randall and Swan families. Joshua Swan b 1763 married Esther Smith. Their children included the Joshua Swan (Jr) who d. Jan 16, 1884 ae 91 (buried in the same plot in Sherburne-see above). Another son, Jabez Smith Swan born in Feb 1800 married Laura Griffin, and, like his father and brother both named Joshua Swan, Jabez also moved from Stonington CT to Chenango Co. NY. And Jabez got his first parcel of land there from: Jedediah Randall. I think there was a lot of granting of property back then between family members.
Here is the info on the grant deed:
13 April 1833
Jabez S. Swan of Norwich, Chenango Co., NY purchased from Jedediah Randall, and Martha, his wife, for $800 a parcel of land-on the west side of the road running N/S thru the Village of Norwich (adjacent to a parcel conveyed by Jedediah and Martha Randall to Hannah M. Randall on the 16th of May 1825).
Signed by Jedediah and Martha Randall on 29 April 1833
Rec. 29 April 1833 at 2 p.m.The Town Clerk of Stonington, CT has an indexed page of Randalls with some birth & marriage information that included these three listings for a Jedediah Randall: Ê
Page 214 (index of records 1658-1854 in Stonington)This strongly suggests Martha and Patty York are the same person.

This will allow us to add an appropriate link to join our family trees, making the work more interesting and useful to ourselves and to others. We will also be pleased to link to personal web pages or email addresses of anyone listed. Just let us know.
Several mathematical theorem indicate that each person on earth could demonstrate a direct link to any other randomly chosen person on earth using six to eight links, using a friend of a friend of a friend . . . type of connection. This suggests that four to nine more generations of genealogy are needed to make a similar connection between any two randomly choosen people on earth as relatives (I actually think the range must be one higher, but can't prove it yet).
