We originally posted the Tomaszewski Family Tree as a single webpage that grew to contain over 200 printed pages. At that point we decided to restructure the page because it was getting out of hand and taking much too long to download. The incomplete results of that effort follow. Should you find errors or omissions, you can still refer to the original webpage.
Kreigh's father, Ray Tomaszewski, founded an accordian band with around 40 members that is still playing, and his mother,
Kay Tomaszewski, continued as Secretary and Concertmistress for the group until her death, after retiring from teaching and running her own business.
You can find out more at: The Grand Rapids Accordian Ensemble. Ray was one of the best accordian players and had a global reputation.
Monica's father, Theodore Snyder, was responsible for the invention of Mr. Goodwrench. He created it to reward outstanding employees as an internal promotion for the Parts Division of General Motors. GM Marketing found out about it, and the rest is history. He received a thank you plaque from General Motors that proclaimed him to be the original Mr. Goodwrench. And speaking of history, Monica's great-something-grandmother was the first white woman born in Michigan according to family lore (we're still researching it, but it appears to be correct), and her ancestors founded the city of Leland, Michigan (confirmed).
Kreigh and Monica share a common ancestor in John Loomis, from around 1600, both being 8th or 9th great grand children of John.
There is a similar relationship with Nicholas Cottrell from around 1622. It is a small world. We are all related - the fun is in discovering the details.
Please Note, a left handed prefix (1234_____) is a birth; a right handed prefix (_____1234) is a reference from a later event (usually marriage). All references are bolded, and equal left and right handed references (or plain references - 1234 ) are always the same person; you can use your browser's Find button to follow a lineage on a page.
Should you discover we share a common ancestor, or if you can fill in some of our missing details, we would appreciate receiving E-mail from you with the details, and if possible a URL where your researches are posted. This will allow us to add an appropriate link to join our family trees, making the work more interesting and useful to ourselves and to others. We will also be pleased to link to personal web pages of anyone listed (Hint, the number and the line in front of a name may be different links).
This is a by-hand compilation of many independent, but related, researches obtained as typwritten manuscripts, email, FAX, and snail mail correspondence, and some of our own extensions from source research (plus confirming many suggested details).
Many thanks are especially given to Kathryn Tomaszewski, Marjorie Parrot, Paul K. Randall, Hon. J. Hammond Trumbull, Kenneth B. Randall, Jr., Hon. D. L. Follett, Donald F. Parrott, Carol Faulkner, Cindy Taylor, Neda Conley, Kevin Wilson, Ernest Bonneux, Patrick Meagher, Lorraine Maloney, Gerry Neault, Robin Kuczwara, Donna Fox, Dawn Kuczwara, Johnny Randall, Sally Brown, Tina Newman, Harold K. Byrd. Carol McKenzie, Theresa McCuistion, and the many etended family members (and friends) who have made this genealogy compilation possible.
While we have attempted to avoid them, errors have most likely occurred. Please point them out if you find them so they can be corrected. And if you got here because you found your name in a search engine query, please let me know about any relatives or details we have missed. We love hearing from 'lost' relatives.

Several mathematical theorem indicate that each person on earth could demonstrate a direct link to any other randomly chosen person on earth using six to eight links, using a friend of a friend of a friend . . . type of connection. This suggests that four to nine more generations of genealogy are needed to make a similar connection between any two randomly choosen people on earth as relatives (I actually think the range must be one higher, but can't prove it yet).
